Eligibility Specialist

The Virgin Islands Department of Health is seeking applicants for above part time position. Major responsibilities for this position are as follows:

• ·      Complete the intake process for Ryan White clients
• ·      Compile daily workflow reports and other daily duties
• ·      Ensures and verifies eligibility of patients for specialty service office visits
• ·      Provide insurance counseling to clients as needed
• ·      Make client referrals to other agencies regarding medication assistance as needed
• ·      Responsible for federal required reports

Interested applicants should have a minimum of one year experience in medical insurance plans, medical billing and entitlement plans. Diploma or certificate of Medical billing/insurance preferred. The selected candidate will be required to submit three professional references. The selected candidate will also be required to have a valid VI driver’s license and automobile auto insurance.
