We are actively searching for graduate students interested in applying their public health knowledge to the MotherWoman Community-based Perinatal Support Model© (CPSM). The CPSM is an intervention that supports communities in creating a comprehensive safety net for mothers at risk for/or experiencing perinatal depression. The CPSM aims to address barriers to care to achieve optimal mental health outcomes for mothers and families, through multi-sector collaboration in the areas of education, training, resource development, triage/referral protocols and screening. We understand that capstone projects as well as other collaborative projects are a part of student course requirements. We would like to offer students the opportunity to complete their capstone project with MotherWoman. Attached you will find a list of potential capstone projects that may be of interest to students in your program. Many of these projects can be done without being on location at our site in Western MA. We have active data sets and are eager to partner with students even when they are unable to be at our physical site. Additionally, we are open to suggestions for additional capstone projects that are applicable to the CPSM or that address perinatal depression. Attached you will find the 2014 RFP we released to engage communities to participate in the CPSM. The RFP is to be used as an introduction to the CPSM.In completing your capstone project with us you will be able to:
