Organizational Background/Mission
The Association for Utah Community Health (AUCH) is a non-profit membership association of Health Centers and other non-profit health care organizations serving low-income, homeless, migrant and other medically underserved populations. AUCH’s mission is to support and represent its membership and to work to increase access to health care for medically underserved populations in Utah. AUCH provides training, technical assistance, policy support and representation to membership organizations.
Job Summary
AUCH Clinical Support Coordinator (CSC) works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Programs Manager to assist and support the Clinical Programs team. The Clinical Programs team currently offers trainings and technical assistance to its members regarding: the Pharmacy 340B Program, Immunizations Program, Quality Improvement Program, Tobacco Cessation Program, Telehealth Program, and the Emergency Preparation Program. As part of the AUCH Clinical Programs team, the CSC will be responsible for supporting AUCH staff and Health Centers with the maintenance of high quality clinical services. The CPC provides technical and administrative support for multiple projects under the direction of the Clinical Programs Manager (CPM).
Duties and Responsibilities: 
The following information is intended to be representative of the essential functions performed and is not all-inclusive.
  • Develop and maintain supportive understanding of HRSA, ambulatory care, patient centered medical home, FTCA, Patient Safety, and Risk Management requirements and standards;
  • Maintain supportive understanding of Program Information Notices (PINS), Program Assistance Letters (PALS), and Federal Register notices, as assigned;
  • Assist with the facilitation of trainings, technical assistance, and mentoring opportunities to health centers in support of quality improvement, including, but not limited to: patient-centered medical home principles, PDSA cycles, performance improvement, risk management, best practices, workflow, policies and procedures, patient empanelment, team-based patient care, patient-centered interactions; engaged leadership, enhanced patient access; care coordination; evidence-based care, etc.;
  • Support and assist the AUCH Pharmacy Services Program Coordinator, QI Coordinator, CPM, and other staff, as assigned with coordination of AUCH projects;
  • Assist with communicating timely awareness of clinical practice expectations;
  • Assist with the staffing, planning, and coordination of the AUCH Quality Forum and other AUCH Member Workgroups, as assigned;
  • Assist with the development of clinical technical assistance resources to include in AUCH communications and website;
  • Support the Clinical Programs team with Health Centers via site visits, videoconferencing, phone/email, etc.;
  • Establish and maintain a supportive, collegial role with health centers and external partners;
  • Assist with data collection, data entry, and feedback, as appropriate, to Health Center clinical programs teams;
  • Collect and submit timely and accurate information for pharmacy order entry and invoice tracking;
  • Assist with correspondence of pharmacy relationships, as assigned;
  • Assist with quarterly pharmaceutical pricing updates, as assigned;
  • Attend external coalitions and meetings with state Partnerships to represent AUCH, as assigned;
  • Participate in local, State, Regional, National workgroups, training sessions, and committees, as assigned;
  • Assist Clinical Programs team with contribution to the AUCH strategic planning process, goal and objective development and to the preparation of BPHC grant and work plan activities;
  • Assist Clinical Programs team with grant writing, program planning, and reporting; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the CPM, Program Director, Deputy Director, and/or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in healthcare or related field. Related and/or medical experience will be considered in substitution for academic attainment.
  • Experience working in a medical setting strongly preferred, i.e. Medical Assisting, CNA, or other appropriate role.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Proficiency in electronic data maintenance, with the ability to analyze, summarize and compile data in a user-friendly format.
  • Experience and proficiency in preparing internal and external organizational communication materials.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and logically.
  • Ability to support, coordinate, prioritize, and expedite work projects.
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of requests/needs/issues simultaneously.
  • Must have strong organizational, analytical and quality assurance skills.
  • Ability to travel within Utah on an occasional basis and outside the State approximately one-two times a year.
