Purpose of Position:

This position has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), including the HIV Medications Program that provides HIV and HIV-related medications distributed through the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) Pharmacy, and the Insurance Assistance Program that pays for high risk client's premiums, private premiums and approved medication co-payments. The ADAP Coordinator tracks monthly client utilization and expenditures by funding source, works with case managers to resolve issues and improve service delivery, and conducts ADAP-related provider/client trainings, as well as completes all Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) required ADAP reports.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or Education and two (2) years of experience in a health related field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Additional:

Strong problem solving, interpersonal, contract management and computer skills. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing; prepare grant applications and manage grants; monitor budgets; collect, analyze and interpret data; supervise staff; prepare reports; and make presentations to a variety of audiences. Experience with Microsoft Excel and database experience required. Experience with developing, monitoring, or ensuring compliance with complex medical or public health program protocols and policies.

Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license. Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel required for site visits, contract monitoring for service provision, and technical assistance.
