Job Characteristics: This position is with the Utah Cancer Control Program (UCCP). Incumbents function under limited supervision and has considerable discretion in judgment in projects and assignments associated with the UCCP, the Utah Cancer Action Network (UCAN), stakeholders and the public. Incumbents resolve a variety of complex issues and performs a combination of the following tasks: communicate and educate the public and stakeholders on issues related to cancer prevention and treatment; oversee all media and public education activities for the UCCP and its partners; provide training and deliver presentations; provide technical expertise; provide quality assurance and monitor program effectiveness; compile statistics; analyze data; write grants and complete reports; assist with budget oversight for all related activities; lead and facilitate a variety of committees both internal and external to the Utah Department of Health.
